Although there are other methods to make a phone offline, enabling this feature will add security to your Android phone.

Remember that the exact steps may vary depending on the Android version and UI of the phone.

Set require password to turn off when the screen is locked

  1. Tap on “Settings“
  2. Tap on “Security and Privacy“
  3. tap on “Device Lock“
  4. Tap on “Screen Lock” and enter your security pattern
  5. Scroll down and tap on “Require password to power off“
  6. Toggle the ON/OFF button beside “Require password to power off“.

That’s it.
